Save the Water™ (STW)
In September 2023, I joined STW as a Marketing Associate: Graphic Designer. It was a great way to work in a remote setting with a team and focus on the brand’s graphics; online and printing.
In November, most of our department left for one reason or another. I saw that as a chance to step up and lead what was left of the team until we had a full team again and because of this I was promoted to Marketing Director in January 2024. Although I still have a lot to learn, I continue to expand my experience and knowledge every day. Knowing that I can learn and create a difference in the world is a very humbling experience!
PLEASE NOTE: Because I am currently working here, this page will be updated as much as possible.
More About STW
Who Are We?
Vision: Our vision is to achieve contamination-free, healthy water for all. We want to ensure all communities have access to clean, healthy water and to protect the supply so it stays clean for generations to come.
Mission: The mission of Save The Water™ is to conduct water research to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water, to improve the quality of drinking water, and to raise public awareness about water contamination and its health impact.
Work: Our research team will work on ensuring each chemical present in North American waters is identified and its effects documented. Then we will translate this information into simple terms and share our knowledge so that every family in the United States and Canada is aware of water pollution’s health impacts. Our scientists and engineers have designed water treatment technologies to remove dangerous pollutants in water to make water cleaner for our families.
What Do We Do?
We have technologies and systems that we have established to help identify and clean the water from chemicals and harmful materials. Some of the systems are called eNox™, FloNox™, and AOT™. If you want to know more about them and other systems we have developed you can visit here.
What Can I Do?
Are you asking yourself, is there something I can do? Well, there are three things you can do. You can donate, to help raise funds for more labs and the continuation of our research. The second thing you could do is volunteer some of your time to help. Even if you don’t have any lab knowledge or do not live close to working labs there are remote positions that would take a few hours a week out of your time. And thirdly, if you don’t have time or extra funds, and during these times it does seem hard to come by (I know it is for me!), you can always raise awareness by sharing our posts on social media and spreading awareness. It is easy and takes a few seconds of your time. The earth and its water will thank you!
