Goldman’s Bour.B.Que

A Local Small Business, Goldman’s Bour.B.Que, is up-and-coming selling their sauces at food markets in the area. They sell on average over 100 bottles per day there.

As a Bourbon BBQ lover, I can safely say that Original is my favorite Bourbon BBQ Sauce!

Front Table Banner

This banner aimed to catch passersby’s eye at farmer’s markets. Goldman had previously come to us for front labels for his sauce bottles and wanted to use us for the banner. Those labels had a tannish brown color for the background, which is alright for the bottles, but since he was looking for something bright, vibrant, and colorful, I wanted to give him that option.

I don’t tend to stray from existing designs, especially if they got it at the same place, but I had a vision for this. When I think of sauces, I think of something warm and I wanted the design to reflect that. I designed a few options, the first using his colors, the second a concept he had mentioned, and the third being what you see on the right. He loved the third option!

Even though I did change the colors, I tried to keep the font the same and we reused the photo he uses for his labels, that way it was still recognizable to existing customers. He would later return and let me know it was a big hit! They noticeably saw more customers come up and start a conversation with them.

Business Cards

Black Background for viewing purposes

I wanted to use the same artwork as the banner but wanted to use a white border around three of the four edges (with the bottom bleeding to the edge) to give a bit of a different perspective. I did end up taking out the photo as I didn’t feel the design would flow well and I thought the photo would scale down too small (as the sun is super small).

Vehicle Magnet

Dee wanted something not permanent on his car to advertise his Bour.B.Que. I suggested a vehicle magnet. It is something that he can put on and off of his vehicle with ease.

I wanted to ensure that the text and contact information were big enough for viewers to see when he was driving, but I also wanted to have a QR code on their website so they could easily scan it if someone was walking by his car.

Thank You Stickers

They wanted a simple sticker to adorn on their bags when customers bought multiple bottles. Something that thanked patrons for their business.
